Savour Singapore’s cultural heritage through the cuisine at Folklore. A rich variety of flavours and plentiful sharing plates make this the best place to dine with friends and family.
Singapore heritage food is an eclectic mix of mainly 5 different cuisines; Chinese, Malay, Indian, Eurasian and Peranakan. Instead of a clash of cultures, we have an unequalled culinary heritage that boasts a cuisine unlike any other city. At Folklore, you will find the coconut-rich Masak Lemak, over 15 varieties of spices in the aromatic Beef Cheek Rendang, classic Peranakan Chap Chye, long lost dishes such as Singgang and more. Sound foreign? That’s because Singapore heritage cuisine is a melting pot of cultures!
Folklore is proud to present Singapore heritage cuisine where our guests can experience, understand and appreciate the value of an extensive and varied culinary heritage that is second to none. The food is cooked right and nothing is rushed, everything from grinding to preparation is done the traditional way. It takes a tremendous amount of time and effort but only in doing so is one able to savour how things were done in the past.
